They are often given much scrutiny in the eyes of the more zealous chapters such as the Black Templars and Marines Malevolent, although they offer their unflinching support for those that do not discriminate against them. With oversight from the Raven Guard, who were the only other Legion with a similar grasp of tactics, and possibly Dark Angels, since their Legion fought heavily against Konrad Curze and his forces during the Horus Heresy, they operate in the function of a standard Codex chapter, albeit primarily in structure instead of form. ![]() There is a rumor that their origins may possibly lies with the Night Lords, as their motiff and battle doctrine relies heavily on terror and confusion tactics. It is heavily believed that they are a fleet-based chapter, much like the Black Dragons and Scythes of the Emperor. Having participated in only a handful of notable engagements against the many foes of the Imperium, their whereabouts are currently unknown.
